How much is soccer?
$40.00 (including taxes) per child for the full season. After you register your child, you will be directed to PayPal, where you can pay by Credit Card, VISA Debit Card or PayPal Account.
What do my children need to bring?
Children must bring a water bottle and running shoes.
Shin pads are required for children born 2010-2015.
Shin pads are recommended for children born 2016-2019.
What day is soccer?
All players play on Tuesdays, either 6-7pm or 7-8pm.
When does the season run?
The 2023 Soccer Season is May 21st – July 9th, 2024. We have one rain date if needed, on July 16th.
If soccer is cancelled due to rain will extra nights be added at the end of the season?
No, the logistics of adding extra weeks is not feasible at this time.
How will I know if soccer is cancelled?
A final decision is made at 5:00pm on Tuesday, and then an alert is posted to the website, and weather alerts are sent out to everyone who is subscribed.
Can I get a weather alert to my phone?
Yes, please register your cell number at remind.com/join/lakefieldy to receive our alerts.
Will you send a weather alert via email?
Due to work and family commitment, soccer volunteers cannot guarantee being able to send out an email. We will post updates on the website, and send alerts to everyone who has subscribed.
Are Team pictures included in the cost of registration?
Yes, each player will receive one Team Photo.
Can I help coach?
If you are interested in being a volunteer coach, please contact us directly through our website contact form, or indicate when you register your children.
How old does my child need to be to play?
For the 2024 soccer season, children born between 2010-2019 are eligible to play.
Do you make exceptions for younger children who would like to play this year?
No, due to the number of families who participate in soccer children must be born between 2010-2019 in order to play.
What if I don’t have a PayPal account?
You do not need to have a PayPal account, only a credit card for on-line registration. When you register, you will be redirected to PayPal – look for the link that says “Pay with a Credit Card or VISA Debit”.
Can I pay with cash or cheque?
No, we are only set up for PayPal registration, which will allow you pay by Credit Card, VISA Debit Card, or PayPal account.
Do you accept friend requests for my child to be on the same team?
We do our best to match friends but cannot guarantee we can honour every request.
Will I get refunded if I drop out?
You must cancel via email before the third week if you require a refund, so we can offer your spot to another child.
If my child is uneasy, can I go out onto the field for support?
Parents or Caregivers are not allowed on the field during soccer game time. This applies to ALL age groups.
