Lakefield Youth Soccer

Lakefield Youth Soccer (LYS) is an informal local house league for children born 2007-2014. No prior playing experience is necessary. Our focus is on skill development, sportsmanship and learning the joy of the game.

2019 Season Details

Soccer season is May 14th – July 9th, 2019 ~ Tuesdays at Lakefield District Public School (back fields).

First 30 minutes: children participate in drills and skills-building with the team
Second 30 minutes: children play a game against another team
Players sit with their team during breaks at game time

Jerseys, Shirts, Shorts and Socks are provided for children born 2009-2014.
Jerseys, Shirts and Socks are provided for children born 2007-2008.
Running shoes are fine. Cleats are not required.
Water Bottles are mandatory.

For Safety Reasons:
Shin pads are recommended for children born 2011-2014.
Shin pads are mandatory for children born 2007-2010.
Baseball caps and jewelry are not to be worn.
Parents or Caregivers are not allowed on the field during soccer game time. This applies to ALL age groups.
